Gu Xiaojie held an interview with journalists from Diplomatic Correspondents Association of Nigeria

On August 11, Chinese Ambassador Gu Xiaojie held an interview with journalists from Diplomatic Correspondents Association of Nigeria and answered questions concerning China-Nigeria cooperation, China's economic development, human rights progress, bilateral personnel exchanges and labor rights and interests of Chinese enterprises in Nigeria.

Gu Xiaojie briefly reviewed the rich achievements of the development of China-Nigeria relationship, and pointed out that China attaches great importance to the friendly cooperation with Nigeria. Gu said, in recent years, both sides have witnessed frequent exchange of high-level visits and further deepened political mutual trust. The bilateral cooperation in economy, trade, infrastructure, agriculture, culture, and security are continuously expanding and present an unprecedented vitality. The results of this cooperation reflect in many aspects, such as creating local employment, upgrading infrastructureļ¼Œstrengthening capacity building and improving people's wellbeing for Nigeria. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of China-Nigeria strategic partnership, and the two sides will celebrate the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations next year. China wishes to take this opportunity to push China-Nigeria strategic partnership for new progress.
