Gu Xiaojie Visits Kogi State

On July 22, Chinese Ambassador Gu Xiaojie visited Kogi State. During this visit, Gu Xiaojie met with Governor of Kogi State H.E. Mr. Idris Wada and held a symposium of Chinese enterprises in Kogi State.

When meeting with Wada, Gu Xiaojie pointed out that China attaches great importance to China-Nigeria relations and wishes to further cooperation with Kogi State in all fields to realize a win-win situation and promote common development. Gu also urged Kogi State Government to take more measures to guarantee the security of Chinese enterprises and citizens in Kogi. Wada spoke highly of China-Nigeria cooperation and extended gratitude to the important contribution made by Chinese enterprises in the development of Kogi. He also wished to enhance cooperation with China in the areas such as infrastructure and promised to build a more secure environment of business for Chinese enterprises.


On the symposium, Gu Xiaojie fully affirmed the contribution made by Chinese enterprises in the development of China-Nigeria relations, and encouraged them to overcome the difficulties and challenges emerging from operation and security, thus playing a more constructive role in win-win cooperation between our two sides.

During this visit, Gu Xiaojie also inspected some projects being built or managed by Chinese enterprises.
