Li Keqiang Meets with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev of Russia

On the afternoon of December 1, 2017 local time, Premier Li Keqiang met with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev of Russia at the Radisson Blu Resort and Congress Centre in Sochi.

Li Keqiang said that China and Russia have intensified bilateral high-level exchanges, and constantly deepened practical cooperation, with the outcomes benefiting the two peoples. The 22nd China-Russia Prime Ministers' Regular Meeting held not long ago reached a number of new and important cooperation consensus. Both sides should deeply integrate development strategies, and add more cooperation highlights to the development of China-Russia relations.

Li Keqiang pointed out that against the backdrop of the picking up of world economy and trade, China and Russia should seize the opportunity to promote trade and investment liberalization and facilitation. The two countries should make better use of complementary advantages, continue promoting cooperation in major strategic projects on energy, investment, aviation and aerospace, further expand cooperation in scientific and technological innovation, and activate cooperation potentials between the two countries' small and medium-sized enterprises and at local areas. Both sides should intensify people-to-people and cultural exchanges, promote the improvement and upgrade of China-Russia practical cooperation, continue giving play the platform role of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), and contribute wisdom and strength to building a community of shared future for mankind in the region and to promoting the open and inclusive development and lasting peace in the world.

Dmitry Medvedev expressed that Russia and China have maintained frequent high-level exchanges, and made constant progress in practical cooperation, which fully show that Russia-China comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination is running at a high level. The Russian side is happy to see the positive outcomes achieved at the 16th meeting of the Council of the SCO Heads of Government (Prime Ministers), and stands ready to, together with China, jointly push forward the development of Russia-China relations.
